I’ll provide two soundtracks. One is a recording of my song, with me on vocals and piano. Then, and this is the coolest part, I’ll also provide you with a second soundtrack, with no vocals, only me on the piano, and a document with the lyrics so you can sing along!  

Then I’ll mail you a  beautiful greeting card of my mother’s artwork – and INSIDE the card will be another copy of the lyrics to “The Treasure”, something  for her to keep as a remembrance!  I’ll even include a second copy of the card, this one blank on the inside, which your mom can put in a small frame or send to a friend.

Before we get to Frequently Asked Questions, I have a question for you…

How do you feel about singing to your mother?

Please don’t think that, just because I’m a singer by trade, I don’t understand that you may feel shy about singing a song to your Mother.

I completely understand. 

When I first wrote “The Treasure”, I could barely sing it to her without bursting into tears. Sometimes it still has that effect on me.

I recently heard from a friend who plans to sing my song this year for Mother’s Day. She told me she has a hard time getting through the song, too!  So, it’s not just me, and it’s not just you!

My suggestion:

First of all, we’re providing a song for you to listen to as many times as you need in order to feel comfortable singing along. Just sing along with me until it feels natural. 

Second, start learning the song ahead of time by using the “Treasure Lyrics” you’ll receive in your first email (immediately after your purchase).

Third, try singing to the SOUNDTRACK ONLY version, still using your printed lyrics.  

Finally, when it’s time to sing to your Mother, still use the lyrics – don’t rely on your memory!  You may not remember all the words when you’re a little nervous.

Professional Tip!  While you’re singing to your mom, rather than thinking about the MEANING of the words, think about the ACT of SINGING!  If you listen to your own voice and just try to sing your very best, you’ll get less caught up in the emotion ☺

1. Tell me more about your mother…
   
   My mother is a pianist,  a singer, and an artist. She has many beautiful paintings and illustrations.  She has taught hundreds of students to become accomplished pianists, and was my first piano teacher. We’ve even played classical piano duets together! She taught me the value of music EDUCATION!  It’s no coincidence that, now, I’m the owner/operator of one of the most successful arts education studios in Lexington, Kentucky.

2. Can I purchase more than one coffee mug?
   
   Yes, of course. And you’ll see that the price goes down a little bit when you order two.

3. Can I invite others to sing along with me to serenade my mother?
   
   Of course! The more the merrier! 
   
4. I won’t be seeing my mother in person for our special occasion. Can I have everything shipped to her home instead, and sing to her from afar?
   
   Yes, absolutely.  We’re happy to send your order wherever you specify in your shipping information. 
   
   Re: singing from afar, there are three possibilities I can think of:
   
   1. Sing to her over the phone.
   2. Sing to her over Zoom.
   3. Record your song on your phone and send the recording to her in a text message.
